After sitting out a short storm the sun came out and 7 Ramblers started off from the centre of Winstone for a leisurely 4 mile walk. Heading through the village and over a stone stile we entered a lovely dry valley which took us all the way to Duntisbourne Abbots. Passing the Church, we admired the beautiful Wisteria in full bloom on the Cotswold stone cottages and walls in the village before heading along (rather than through) the unusual ford leading to Duntisbourne Lear. After a quick coffee break, we headed back towards Winstone along roads and tracks. We stopped for a while to watch a horseman train a polo pony and enjoyed the lambs with their mothers as we crossed the fields back to the start, again just missing the rain.
