Cirencester Ramblers

On 7th September the group set off for the village of Winson to finish clearing footpath started earlier in the year.

Weather was fine and sunny and they got to work straightaway on the second half of the path, which was relatively easier than the first half as it was in the shade and had not grown so fast.

Coffee break was taken with cake and flapjacks donated by Halina and Richard, enabling us to work with renewed vigour. Continuing on til lunchtime they managed to complete this second half.

Returning to the first half cleared earlier in the year they cut back the hedging even further, which was very dense, thus creating a lovely wide path for the whole length.
