6 of us met at the Reservoir on Culver Hill including Mitch who joined us from another Group.
4 others had shown an interest but were unable to participate due to ill-health.
The mist had mostly cleared by the time we set off in a northerly direction just after 10 am.
We eventually passed through a small gate lurking in a stone wall and onwards through the garden of Rambler Cottage leading to a small lane and on round the back of the Bear Hotel.
We enjoyed an early break near the site commemorating Lord Baden-Powell's visit many years ago and took in the view of Doverow Hill.
We then skirted round Rodborough Fort observing the many banks of snowdrops on the ground.
Afterwards we headed back keeping closer to the scattered large houses than on the outward journey and going the other side of the Bear Hotel.
We then walked near the main road for awhile until we made our way to the other side of the reservoir and our vehicles.
By which time the fine weather was turning to drizzle.
