Myself and two other Ramblers enjoyed a six mile walk from Hiller's Garden Centre near Lechlade. We started off without any rain and although the rain did start after an hour it was not too heavy and despite the wet weather in the days before the walk there were only two kissing gates and a farm yard that was very muddy.
The first part of the walk was down a quiet country road followed by a track that led us to the River Thames. After a short walk by the river we came to the Hamlet of Inglesham and the 14C Church of St. John The Baptist which we visited. Then proceeding along country roads to the village of Buscot Wick we went through the farmyard and then over fields where we rejoined the River Thames. We had our break for drinks and eats by St John's Lock and the statue of Old Father Thames. Proceeding down a footpath we came into the town of Lechlade and after a short walk through the Town we rejoined the Thames Path which took us back to the track and quiet country road at the start of the walk which we proceeded along back to the garden centre where we had a warming coffee.
