Cirencester Ramblers

After what was a really wet and windy early morning, five members of the group started off on a 4 mile walk which proved to be dry for the whole time with even a bit of sun at times – much to our relief.

Taking a path behind The Trouble House we set off across open fields with good views up to the entrance to Grove Farm before turning and passing through the lovely grounds of Trull House.  After crossing the main road we headed towards Culkerton where we sat, out of the wind, in the bus shelter for a quick refreshment stop before starting along a quiet road to Ashley.  We then headed along tracks and paths back to the Trouble House.  A leisurely walk with great views across the countryside with the spring flowers and tree showing at their best.

After the walk we were pleased to meet up with one of our longstanding members for a convivial lunch before going our separate ways.
