Cirencester Ramblers

From the car park at Adlestrop Village Hall, a group of 18 Ramblers set off on a 6 mile walk towards Daylesford.
After a stretch of lane walking, the walk turned into some woods, before emerging onto an expanse of paddocks owned by the Daylesford Estate. The walk continued through woodland before emerging into farm buildings followed by beautiful countryside in the Daylesford Estate before crossing a busy road, after which lunch was taken at Daylesford parish church.
After lunch, we continued across fields and tracks, crossing a railway line towards Lower Oddington. After walking through this attractive village, we joined the busy A436, re-crossing the railway line, before soon turning off to cross a field and cricket pitch and following a track back to Adlestrop.
We were blessed with glorious weather and fine views, and a mass of blossom and spring flowers which was very uplifting. This walk was a repeat of the one done in November 2024 by popular request.
