Cirencester Ramblers

On a beautiful warm sunny Sunday, 7 walkers set off from Painswick. It was a stunning walk and our ups and downs were rewarded with fantastic views throughout.
We walked down into the valley and continued through fields in the direction of Slad, then turned right to eventually cross the A46 and continue uphill to Edge. Next we crossed fields and woodland to Holcombe Hall and on up with views towards Painswick Beacon. We had lunch on a small nature reserve with views looking towards Gloucester Cathedral, May Hill, The Malverns and Bishops Cleeve. Our last climb was up to the Beacon, then across the golf course and back to Painswick.
