We had 17 walkers today including 3 visitors from other groups and 3 new to Ramblers. From the Gateway centre we followed the route of the Thames and Severn canal before heading across fields along side North Meadow to Cricklade, saying ‘hello’ to a group of ponies. Our refreshment stop was at Cricklade Leisure Centre before taking the old railway track to Cerney Wick and the path along one of the sailing lakes and the canal path back to our start. We managed to complete the walk before the rain set in and a number took advantage of the Gateway Cafe for further refreshments.
