9 members and 1 guest set off from the Goods Shed, Tetbury on a 4.5 mile mid week walk in surprisingly dry weather after the snow flurry earlier in the morning. Heading through back cuts and a housing estate we tracked north out of the town, skirting the senior school along Blind Lane. We then followed field boundaries before heading back through a couple of copses, where the spring plants were beginning to shoot and across fields where trees and hedgerows were in flower, giving a springlike feel to the countryside. We finally had a short steep ascent onto the top of Preston Park to enjoy the views, before following Herd Lane, walking past some allotments back to the start, where most of us enjoyed a snack and some even stayed for the afternoon concert.
