Ten walkers set out from Chedworth Roman Villa on a rather misty but dry day with a very grey sky overhead. After a fairly steep climb we crossed farm land and before dropping down to Chedworth we were treated to the sight a completely black calf, born just this morning. At Chedworth we paused outside the church for a moment of reflection as the Remembrance service was underway inside. From Chedworth we took a route across more farmland and through the Woodland of Stowell Park, where the sun broke through to light up the autumn colours which were still visible.
