Cirencester Ramblers

Ten members set off from Harford Bridge on a damp grey morning.  We passed the site of the medieval village of Harford on our way to cross the private airfield at Upper Harford.

After crossing the road, we made our way to Cold Aston and had a coffee break at St Andrews Church which boasts a 600 yr old yew tree.

Moving on to Notgrove a decision was made, due to inclement weather, to take an early lunch in St Bartholomew's Church.  After lunch it was on to Aylworth and the 2nd medieval village, which apparently had a population of just 11 at the time of the Norman conquest.  We then followed the Windrush Way along a pretty valley back to Harford Bridge.
