A lovely day and a good turnout despite the weekend closure of the A417. Started from Brimpsfield Village Hall heading off to Brimpsfield church and the old castle earthworks. From there we went via the rookery passing the ponds and then up to the Gloucester Beeches Layby carpark. From there we stayed on the high ground up to one of the smallest parishes in England, Syde stopping at the Church for lunch. Downhill to Caudle Green and then along the valley until the final steep uphill back to Brimpsfield. Good weather and good scenery enjoyed by everybody.
