An inland walk today with 9 walkers plus assistance dog, Vicky and local walk leader Rosemary. We set out from Joney's Cross and headed across the across Aylesbeare Common Nature Reserve. Once again we got to enjoy the beautiful East Devon countryside in the sunshine even if it was somewhat hazy today. We enjoyed the moorland, woodland, babbling brooks and the sight of grazing wild ponies.
On our return journey we stopped off in Newton Poppleford and enjoyed an excellent cream tea with the home made jam and the creamiest clotted cream you could wish for. Sadly, there had been an accident on our return route and so we had to take a very circuitous route back to Sidmouth along very narrow lanes. Fortunately, we made it without incident.
