On a foggy morning 14 ramblers set out from Chedworth Village Hall for a 10 mile walk, heading across the fields and through Chedworth Woods towards Yarnworth Mill. We took the Monarch’s Way, walking along the river Coln towards the Roman Villa where we stopped for our coffee break. From here two walkers took the short route from the villa back to Chedworth.
After scrambling uphill and through the embankment of the disused railway we followed the White Way, then continued towards Woodbridge and Withington Woods and on to the disused airfield, then just a short distance back to the Village Hall.
