Cirencester Ramblers

10 of us including 1 visitor met up at the National Trust Woodchester Mansion car park on a dull Sunday morning.
We walked down the main drive towards the Mansion House and then took the route to our left up a steep hill through the woodland then back downhill joining the main road.
We tackled some very muddy steps down to the lakes, past the Boat House and down to the bottom of the lake for our break. The sun had made an appearance by this time and it was lovely to sit and feel the sunshine on us while we had our snacks. We also witnessed a couple of brave cold-water swimmers in the bottom lake.
Refreshed we then continued the walk back on the other side of the lake through the beautiful woodland glades, back past the Boat House and on to the Mansion House.
7 of us then called into the Café at Tinkley gate for refreshments.
