On 11th January 8 hardy ramblers and 1 visitor set off in a biting wind from Cold Aston. Our 9 mile walk was reduced to 6.5 miles owing to adverse weather conditions.
Snow was still visible on the ground (some people made snowballs!) We walked on through the pretty village of Notgrove following the Diamond Way. Turning off towards Turkdean we stopped for a break in sheltered woodland.
On Leaving Turkdean we encountered some frozen paths, but picked our way around them and continued upwards towards the cars. Luckily the forecast rain stayed away.
Coffee and cakes were enjoyed at Northleach on the way home.
