16 ramblers set off on a 6 mile leisurely walk from Shipton Moyne on a bright but cold Sunday morning. Heading past the Church we started across fields with the frost crunching under our feet. Passing through the beautifully manicured Estcourt Estate, we crossed the Fosse Way near the fast running river Avon (Tetbury Branch) which in normal times is a ford, but is not for the faint hearted at the moment. Heading across fields again we reached the outskirts of Brokenborough where we took a coffee break. Back to tracks, fields, roads and grassland, including a lovely valley, we recrossed the Fosse Way before returning to the start via Cranmore Lane. Some of us stayed on for a very welcome coffee at the local pub, all-be-it sitting on still frosted benches in the garden.
