Cirencester Ramblers

On a lovely autumn morning 13 members of the group set off for a walk to celebrate our friend and fellow walker Peter who died earlier this year.  This was based on a walk he suggested, and it lived up to his description.  We were very pleased that 3 of his family (3 generations) joined us on the walk.  Starting from Hunters Hall Hotel we headed South into a beautiful valley, with the sun bringing out the autumn colours at their best.  Heading past a motte we walked above the valley enjoying the great views before dropping down to Lasborough Park, where we headed to St Mary’s church for a refreshment stop.  We took to the road up the hill to the other side of the valley before returning past another motte.  Again dropping down into the valley we wended our way along the stream and back to the start. A beautiful walk and a great way to remember our friend.
