Cirencester Ramblers

On a hot sunny day, 7 members set out from ‘Stand Plantation’ on a scenic 7 mile walk that took us past North Cerney, along the River Churn and then up ‘Beech Hill’ with a long, steep climb. On the way up we encountered some amazing beech trees whose primeval shapes are the stuff of myth and legend: Meet Sauron, Siegfried and the Fat Lady! We paused for lunch outside Rendcomb and then continued through the village heading north before turning back to our starting point.
