Cirencester Ramblers

Despite an unpromising weather forecast, 15 ramblers set out from Edgeworth on a warm, cloudy day, walking down the lane to Edgeworth Manor, passing down through the grounds to woodland, then uphill to a lane. After a while on the lane we diverted across fields, back to the lane, and then turned onto a footpath through beautiful Pinbury Park. We stopped for lunch near the pond, then continued past the house and outbuildings with spectacular views down the valley. We continued downhill to cross the River Frome, then steeply uphill through woods to meet open fields at the top. We crossed the fields, where some very friendly foals came to investigate us. Eventually we descended the last field back to Edgeworth, grateful that the whole walk had remained dry. A few of us visited the delightful tea garden at Miserden afterwards.
