January 12th Northleach

There were 15 (11 members and 4 Guests) for our walk from Northleach on a cold, frosty but dry day. Before we started on our 6 mile walk we saw a blessing and parade of tractors. We then proceeded to walk across fields and a quiet country road before reaching the pretty village of Hampnett. After passing through the village and over more fields we reached a farm where we had our refreshment break. Continuing along more fields and a quiet road we then crossed the Fosseway and walked along Helens Ditch. This was very rutted and muddy, however because it was frozen it was not too bad. Shortly afterwards we continued downhill and back into Northleach. We all then went to The Prison Cafe for a warming drink and a bite to eat after a very enjoyable walk.
