Cirencester Ramblers

Thirty one members and guests took part in a 4 night break at the Toorak Hotel, Torquay between Monday 7th and Friday 11th March. In addition to the 2 walks (see separate walk reports) there was plenty going on to keep everyone entertained for the week.

On Tuesday, after the morning walk, there was a cream tea in the afternoon which many enjoyed. In addition, Phil Hardy very kindly brought along some of his 80th Birthday Cake to share with us.

Wednesday was a free day so everyone could explore the Torbay area and further afield. A free ticket to the nearby Torre Abbey was included as part of the package.

On Thursday there was another morning walk andin the afternoon we enjoyed a cheese and cider tasting session. After this a few of us had a game of ten pin bowling with Kathryn being the winner. Following dinner some of the group took part in a quiz and a team from Cirencester Ramblers won first prize for the second year running. The winning team were Dave, Ruth, Mary, John, Andrew & Steve (unfortunately John was cut off the photo taken on a phone but we have added him in!)
