On a beautiful warm sunny day, 13 ramblers joined Ted from Sidmouth Ramblers for a 6 mile walk from Newton Poppleford. We walked alongside the River Otter then climbed up through Harpford Wood and across picturesque fields before our final climb onto Fire Beacon Hill. At the summit we enjoyed refreshments, marvelling at the far reaching views from Dartmoor to the sea and Sidmouth. We returned downhill walking through Tipton St John and Harpford then along the river to the start.
