Cirencester Ramblers

Seven walkers set out from Coaley Peak on a relatively fine morning which soon turned to drizzle and then heavy rain. Taking the path into woodland offered little shelter, but not to be defeated we pressed on.

After a short break during a let up in the rain to admire the stunning view across the far reaching landscape we pressed on to circumnavigate Uley Long Barrow only to be hit by torrential rain. Returning to Coaley Peak the rain gave way to a little sunshine and we were able to enjoy our lunch out in the open enjoying the view.
