Cirencester Ramblers

This was a leisurely four mile early afternoon walk before the group’s annual strawberry tea at a member’s house. On the walk were fourteen walkers, including 2 from another group and a visitor. The route was from Holy Cross Church, going along the tree lined Church Walk and then eastwards along the Thames Path, which through the village is on quiet roads.

At the edge of the village, we turned northwards on footpaths to Clayhill Meadow. Steady light drizzle lasted for about 10 minutes, which was refreshing after the recent heatwave.

The return route was on a footpath parallel with Friday Hams Lane and then crossing the lane to take a path with Lake 82 on the left, re-entering the village through Millenium Green..
