On Monday 21st October - 27 members and guests began a 4 night break at the Toorak Hotel, which is part of the Torquay Leisure Centre.  Having gathered for dinks on the Monday evening we then enjoyed the first of our 3 course evening meals followed by free entertainment and dancing in the various venues throughout the leisure complex.  On Tuesday we met up at 9.30am to set off on a 5½ mile walk around Torquay (see walk reports).  We were back in time for the afternoon Devonshire Cream Tea, which left just enough time to recover for the evening meal and entertainment.  Wednesday was a free day to explore the Torbay Area and beyond.  Thursday there was another short morning walk after taking the bus to Brixham (see walk reports).  Again we were back in time to enjoy a selection of local cheeses and ciders, which wetted the appetite for our final evening meal, entertainment and dancing.  Departing on Friday many of the group took the opportunity to visit local places of interest on their way home.  From the feedback forms the week was greatly enjoyed and there is good support for repeating the event next year.
