On Monday 9th October 27 members and guests went on a 4 night "A Taste Of The West Country" break at the Toorak Hotel, Torquay. As the name implies in addition to the two walks there were plenty of opportunities to enjoy what the west country has to offer in food and drink. In addition to the Cream Tea and Cheese and Cider Tasting sessions some managed ice creams and pasties! Some of the group took part in the hotel quiz. Previous years teams from our group have won the quiz and it was the same this time with Phil, Sue, Kathryn and Steve coming first and Elaine, David, Judy and Rob coming second. Unfortunately this was the only success Steve had as when we did ten pin bowling once again Kathryn beat Steve just as she did last year. As you can imagine Steve got little sympathy even though he had a "bad leg". On the final evening Linda H and Roger ably assisted the Magician with some of his tricks.

Steve, Roger, Kathryn and Sylvia demonstrate their 10 pin bowling skills.

After the 6 mile walk on Tuesday we enjoy the Cream Tea at the hotel.

Alan and Mary follow the walk leader into the ice cream parlour.

Hands up all those who want second helpings!

Mal and Gerry have their hands full with cheese and cider tasting.
