Cirencester Ramblers

February 20th Northleach

On Tuesday 20th February ten members set off from Northleach on an easy 4.3 mile walk.  From the town square the group followed the Monarch's Way past the Old Prison to the lovely little village of Hampnett.  After a quick look around St George's Church the group walked through the village and the carpets of snowdrops in the wooded gardens.

Picking up the Monarch's Way again the group headed south pausing for a quick coffee break before turning off along a lane to meet up with the bridleway to Winterwell Barn.  On reaching Helen's Ditch the group turned off the bridleway and took the footpath back to Northleach; where they were joined by Bill White and enjoyed lunch in the Black Cat Cafe.
