Cirencester Ramblers

August 6th Cleeve Hill

Sunny weather ensured that the many long distance views on the walk were excellent. 30 members set off from The Quarry Car Park at the top of Cleeve Hill, just beyond Cheltenham.

The walk started on The Cotswold Way with a view on the left down towards Winchcombe.   At Postlip the route changed to The Isbourne Way for about half a mile and then at The Washpool, the route was a steady uphill walk to the 3 radio masts, which is the highest point on Cleeve Hill.   A coffee break was taken during the uphill section, with a view back to where we had walked from and far beyond.

The return route was on The Cotswold Way, with views, on the left, of Cheltenham, The Racecourse and then onto The Malverns.
