Cirencester Ramblers

July 23rd Dog Walk from Neigh Bridge

Dixon, Alfie, Meg & Froome's Day out! 3 of my 4 legged friends and I took our 2 legged friends (15 Ramblers and 2 guests) on a 4.7M walk around the Somerford Lagoons. The walk started in the rain, continued in the rain and ended, IN THE RAIN! The first part of the walk along Minety Lane was very busy with cyclists. Half way along the lane we turned left into Swill Brook Nature Reserve where we could play in puddles and have a quick swim.

After a short refreshment break and some doggie treats, we headed north from Pikes Corner to pick up the Thames Path heading east. We crossed the Thames close to Ashton Keynes stopping for the walkers to take pictures . We then went past the water ski lake, across the Spine Road to Spratsgate Lane, through Somerford Keynes and back to a nice dry towel.
