On Wednesday the 9th November eight members of Cirencester Ramblers set off on a 3½ mile walk from The Victoria Inn at Eastleach. We made our way out of the picturesque village of Eastleach over the clapper bridge and past the church of St Martin. Heading south we took the footpath at King's Hay across fields before picking up the path beside the River Leach. After crossing a muddy ploughed field we reached the road that leads into the attractive village of Southrop. Here we took shelter from a passing shower and a chance to enjoy a warm drink.
Refreshed we made our way back to Eastleach, across fields passing Coate Farm and some fields waterlogged from the recent rain. Back at the Victoria Inn we all enjoyed lunch and a drink before heading home.
