On Wednesday 6th July 21 members enjoyed a lovely 3½ mile from Eastleach to Southrop and back. The walk started with a stroll around Eastleach leaving the village by the clapper bridge over the River Leach and the now redundant church of St Michael and St. Martin. Taking the footpath past King's Hay the group made their way south to another path alongside the River Leach, passing a herd of cows, calves and a handsome bull. The walk continued on paths before the walkers followed the road through another attractive village of Southrop. On leaving Southrop the group headed north on footpaths past Coate Farm. Shortly after they encountered some lively horses before arriving back in Eastleach for a drink at the Victoria Inn.
