On Bank Holiday Monday, 2nd May, 23 members set out on a beautiful sunny morning from Andoversford for an 8.5 mile walk. They walked past the Point to Point in Sandywell Park and continued to reach Lower Dowdeswell. Here they stopped for a coffee break in the grounds of The Church of Saint Michael and All Saints (a Grade I listed building).
Leaving the church they walked to Castle Barn Farm, past Rossley Manor to pick up the Cotswold Way. Entering Lineover Woods they were met with a profusion of Bluebells, Wood Anemones and other delights including early Purple Orchids. Leaving the wood, they faced a strenuous climb up to meet the main A436. Here the weather changed and so they had a rainy journey via Foxcote back to the start.
