Cirencester Ramblers

On Saturday 9th June 2018 five PMV's set off to Painswick Beacon to continue with their Wysis Way clearance.  It was a lovely, sunny day and they got to work quickly. The first part was not too difficult but the last bit of the path going towards Upton was very overgrown and difficult to find.

The work was mainly cutting back the undergrowth to reveal the path but very enjoyable to see the difference it made.  The day was helped along by Richard's chocolate cookies, Alson's Birthday cake and Shirley's sloe gin!

On arriving at Upton we chatted to a resident who showed us his menagerie of horses, chickens and resident cat and he kindly agreed to us using his car park when we continue on the next stage.

Path very overgrown along this stretch

Just off the Painswick Beacon a sign is needed at this fork in the path
